Poster Project

The COVID-19 pandemic has been a difficult time for everyone since i t has severely  effected our lives. The poster project gave me an opportunity to not only connect this project to this time in our l ives, but also spread an important message. Wearing masks to protect yourself and others has been a vital component to passing through this tough time. I chose these colors because I enjoyed  the contrast as well as the opportunity to add white in contrast my eyes and hair. Having a mask on for this project helps portray this message and support the end of the pandemic sooner than later. #StopTheSpread.

For the Calligram project, I  wrote a letter to myself to really understand everything that was going on in my life, my goals, and other fun information  that my future self may enjoy to read. A lot of what I wrote about referred to the amount of unknowns in my life right now with graduation coming up. Going into a new chapter of life can be a little scary , but at the same time it is exciting. Another  big life changing event has been the pandemic that has effective  so many people. It has definitely  added a lot of stress in the last year, but it is nice that there seems to be light at the end of the tunnel. This project truly helped me refl ect on my life and got me to think about what I want to do in my life. All in all, the most important aspect is that I am happy.

Calligram - Letter to My Future Self

Dear Future Mary, 20 years from now, the most important thing is that you’re happy. Right now, it is  one stressful week after the next and always trying to reach for perfection even when it  seems impossible to attain it. Something that I’ve been trying to realize is that nu mbers  dont define you, especially when it comes to integers like grades, weight, GPA, and  more. I hope you’re doing the activities that make you happy and continuing to make  time for yourself. Self - care always seems unnecessary when you feel like you have  so  many other “important things” to do, but it the most important thing to be able to  mentally, physically, and emotionally function at the most optimal level when possible.  I  hope you are keeping up with your bullet journaling ! It's been such a n o dd time in life  with the Co vid - 19  pandemic  effecting  everyone ’ s lives . It ’ s been s uch a hard time not being able t o see  friends and family in so  long a nd being  able to have t he norm
