Animation

Image
For this animation, I took a video of myself looking through my records and picking out one of my favorite  records to play on my record player. This process was very tedious, but gave me a better appreciation for animators. I never realized how much work was truly put in, but I am proud with this final project. This was my first time making any sort of animation! I hope to make some more in the future and I am glad I was able to learn more Photoshop tools. This took me around 36 hours to complete, but it was worth it!

Autoscopy

Image
The Autoscopy project was my favorite project of the semester. I was able to create a image that I truly love. It was a lot of fun to play around with the different types of Photoshop filters that I used for all of the images I used. This project perfectly represents the different sides of me, which includes my technology side and creative side. I used binary code to cover the majority of myself. I then adding the color wheel to my eyes to show how I see the world in an artistic perspective. I then decorated my headband with paint splatter and a decorative paint drop to the bottom which adds a perfect touch. I love this final product and I plan on printing it professionally.

Multiplicity

Image
I had a lot of fun with this Multiplicity project! I planned out all different outfits for every picture and had to do quick changes to avoid any light changing throughout the process. I placed my phone on a phone stand which I placed on-top  of my laptop stand to try to get the best angle. The poses I picked represented everything that I do in my room, which is workout, read, play ukulele, and have fun! Using the masks in Photoshop, I was able to add all versions of myself in one image. The shadows are my favorite part and add such an awesome element!

Somewhere

Image
For the Somewhere project, I had a struggle at first with the lighting of my selfie for the image I wanted to put it in. I originally  had a completely other idea, but finally decided to add myself with the cast of New Girl. This show holds a special place in my heart because it is a show my roommate and I watched together. It is a comedy show that got us to laugh for a little bit during the stress of the pandemic. I used my own PJ’s and makeup brush to fit in the scene of getting ready in the morning. I used different color correction techniques in Photoshop to really make myself blend in with adding a shadow behind me. I really love how this turned out!

BW to Color

Image
The Black and White to Color project really helped me understand how to pick appropriate  color palettes, but also the importance of making accurate masks. It was definitely  a challenge at first to create useful masks with all the different lines and curves, but using my iPad and Apple Pencil were extremely helpful. The colors I choose are definitely  three of my favorite color combinations. My favorite touch that I added was playing around with the color opacity with all my different features.
